James Robinson

Partner

From day one of his training in October 1988, James has been involved with engineering and manufacturing clients which he is as passionate about now as ever, heading up the specialist sector group in our Poole office. Through his IT and systems work, James can apply working solutions to every day issues that his clients may have.

James specialises in owner-managed businesses of any size from start-ups to multi-million pound turnover clients. He recognises the importance of relationships and the need to really understand what his clients do and what they want from their business.

James was educated locally and is proud to have joined the firm at 18. He represents the firm on the Board of the Dorset Young Enterprise, working with schools to not only promote accountancy as a career, but also general employability skills in our community. As well as being an active Dorset Chamber council member, James is chairman of the Nuffield Industrial Estate and he is on the Steering Committee of the Dorset Engineering & Manufacturing Forum, which helps promote the amazing businesses in the region.

James is married with two children. He is often seen around the various cricket grounds of Dorset, supporting Poole Town Cricket Club with his son Thomas and piano recitals with Molly. Rumour has it he used to be able to hit a golf ball, but not quite sure in which direction!
