Why us

PKF not only offers you broad experience and early responsibility, but a friendly, supportive environment, with lots of partner and client contact from day one.

Unique variety – Our clients range from sole traders to AIM listed companies, insurance firms, charities and international organisations.

Early responsibility – Within a year of joining, you could be going out to audit smaller clients on your own.

Client contact – Working in small teams, you’ll be talking to clients from the start, and you’ll soon get to know their businesses.

International aspect – We are an independent member of PKF International, a worldwide network of accounting firms, so you may well work on an international assignment. Overseas opportunities arise from time to time.

Training – We offer opportunities to train as Chartered Accountants (ACA) and Tax Advisers (ATT/CTA).

Encouragement and support – We have a very high exam pass rate, thanks to a combination of tailored, in-house training, and the support of your personal tutor, mentor and counselling partner.

Broad experience – We don’t box people into narrow fields of work. As a trainee you’ll have opportunities to be seconded to different divisions, giving you different perspectives on the firm. You may even be seconded to a client organisation.

Competitive salary – And generous benefits!

Personal development – As part of your regular appraisals, we’ll devise a training programme to help you develop your strengths, address any weaker areas and achieve your career goals.

Location – Our London office is based in Canary Wharf. Less hectic than the City yet easily accessible, there are bars, restaurants, a cinema, art exhibitions, concerts and comedy evenings… plus gyms and sports clubs for when you’re feeling more active.  And our Leeds office is in the heart of the city’s vibrant centre.

“I got exposure to interesting and challenging work from the very start.  Should a client have a query, I have the responsibility for dealing with it rather than simply passing it on to someone more senior.”
