We produce two exclusive monthly surveys (UK and German) which are available for free to contributors only on a confidential basis.
Monthly UK Trends
Established in 1974, this survey analyses the monthly operating performance of nearly 500 hotels in regional UK and 200 hotels in London. The results are broken down by region (England, Scotland and Wales), city and average room rate. Results compare the performance of comparable hotel samples year-on-year.

Benchmarking
We have found companies increasingly focused on their market position in the competitive environment. Supported by our extensive database, we are able to establish benchmarking samples to enable direct comparison of a particular hotel or group of hotels with a competitive set (comprising a minimum sample size to preserve the integrity of the underlying data). This can be done monthly in terms of room rate and occupancy information or annually for profit and loss data. This is a service specifically tailored to client needs and our research team works closely with the client to meet their precise requirements.
Our research team is constantly in receipt of the latest industry information in whatever format it becomes available. Thus, we are frequently asked for research briefing notes on current industry issues or trends. These are typically prepared on a bespoke basis, sometimes encompassing original research, and are a cost-effective tool to stay abreast of the latest information on a particular topic. For example we have assisted a number of budget/mid-scale hotel operators in the preparation of development documents to identify key targets for the roll-out of their brands.
