| Biography |
Jim has worked in corporate recovery for over 15 years. He is a chartered accountant and licensed insolvency practitioner who has worked across all aspects of corporate recovery, including advisory work, distressed business disposals and formal insolvency proceedings.
Following a secondment to The Royal Bank of Scotland plc in 2006/07, Jim has built a reputation with his clients for delivering results in challenging scenarios, including those suffering from relationship breakdown between stakeholders and/or those in severe financial distress.
In the last few years he has delivered many business disposals via both formal administrations (including 'traditional' and 'pre-pack' procedures), as well as by way of Accelerated M&A process (typically undertaken in concert with his Corporate Finance colleagues). He is confident delivering practical and usable advice to lenders, Boards of Directors and shareholders.
The core of Jim's experience is in the mid-market, including owner-managed businesses, private equity backed businesses and smaller AIM listed businesses. He has had significant experience over the last 10 years in the support services, insurance and contracting sectors and, more recently, Jim was appointed in respect of two specialist care facilities (twin care/nursing homes and a school for children with significant social and learning difficulties). |
