| Biography |
Andrew has over 21 years’ experience in VAT. He spent 11 years with HM Customs & Excise as a VAT assurance officer mainly in Brighton, before moving to Customs Headquarters, where he was responsible for National VAT Policy on the social exemptions for culture, betting and gaming, sport, and the zero rating of children’s clothing, printed matter and food. He specialised in the practical impact of VAT on clubs, trade unions and professional bodies. After leaving HQ, he became a specialist in the insurance sector, broadening his VAT expertise to take in IPT as well.
In 2001 Andrew joined KPMG’s insurance team in London. A move back to the South coast to Baker Tilly led to Andrew advising on all general VAT matters before joining PKF in January 2011. |
