| Biography |
Trevor Birch is head of PKF’s London Corporate Recovery and Insolvency practice and a member of the Firm’s Football Industry Group.
An insolvency and restructuring specialist led Ernst & Young’s Northern corporate recovery practice obtaining a wide range of advisory and transactional experience in a number of sectors including motor, consumer goods and leisure.
He left the firm in 2002 to become chief executive of Chelsea Football Club, where he brokered Roman Abramovich’s £180 million takeover of the club.
After leaving Chelsea, Trevor, a former professional footballer, undertook other quasi-restructuring roles in the football industry, serving as chief executive of Leeds United, Everton, Derby County and, most recently, Sheffield United.
Trevor has also held senior roles at Deloitte, FTI Consulting and Sportfive GmbH, Europe’s largest football media and commercial rights agency.
Combined with his professional practice experience his corporate roles leave him well placed to provide stakeholder value in the restructuring arena.
Trevor was appointed Joint Administrator of Portsmouth Football Club on 17 February 2012. |
