| Biography |
Charles is a partner within the Corporate recovery and insolvency team, providing a broad range of advice to lenders and directors, typically in relation to medium and large size private companies.
He has developed a wealth of experience over many years, particularly in effecting the turnaround and restructuring of financially distressed businesses to avoid insolvency processes. He has also undertaken a large number of viability, strategic and pre-lend reviews.
Charles’ experience includes specialist international assignments where he has acted for UK based banks in assessing their options in overseas exposures.
Charles’ broad sector knowledge has resulted in many successful assignments, particularly in agribusiness, construction, care-homes printing and hotels/travel. He offers practical and constructive advice to bring about change and a return to financial health.
In recent years, Charles has been increasingly involved in using his experience to provide advisory services to Trustee Boards and/or Directors in relation to defined benefit pension schemes. This has included covenant reviews, as well as liaising with Employers and the Pensions Regulator in connection with specific company events. |
