He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Chartered Tax Adviser. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

As a tax practitioner, he has specialised in corporate reorganisations, share schemes and other employee incentive arrangements, mergers and acquisitions. He has a strong interest in the international aspects of taxation as they affect both companies (both inward and outward investors) and individuals. He advises a large number of wealthy UK resident but non - domiciled individuals. His industry specialisations include property, motor vehicle distributors, hi - tech companies and the financial services sector, including banks, Investment Trusts and Venture Capital Trusts.
