He has considerable experience of value for money arrangements, risk and performance management and internal controls. David is responsible for developing the firm's work on behalf of the Audit Commission, including technical, training and quality assurance. He is a standing member of the Commission’s national NHS Auditor’s Group, is a regular member of regional and national quality assurance panels for both local government and NHS use of resources assessments, and has assisted with the development of a number of the Commission’s national products and reports.

David has undertaken audit and consultancy assignments in a wide range of local government, NHS and other public sector bodies, including:

• London boroughs, metropolitan and unitary authorities, county and district councils
• Acute, primary care, mental health, community and care trusts
• Non-Departmental Public Bodies.
