Rick works with commercial clients ranging from AIM listed companies to owner managed businesses, but also has a particular interest in the charity and broader not-for-profit sector. He has been heavily involved in this sector throughout his time as partner and has acted for all sizes of charity ranging from the large national to the small local. His current clients in the sector include Sheffield Industrial Museums Trust, The Hospital of Gilbert Earl of Shrewsbury, Sheffield Grammar School Exhibition Foundation and The George Woofindin Almshouses.

In addition to working with charities, he provides specialist audit and advisory services to many other areas such as owner managed businesses, pension funds and housing associations.

Rick also acts in an executive capacity to two significant local grant making trust where he is the principal support for the non-executive Trustee Boards. This role requires him to be fully conversant with all the issues affecting the sector, not just those relating to financial reporting.
